Hanabishi Brings Shojin Ryori to Los Angeles

In 2025, Hanabishi was honored to be invited by the Japanese American Cultural & Community Center in Los Angeles to promote the culinary tradition of Koyasan Shojin Ryori. We were given the valuable opportunity to share our cuisine with the people of the United States.

This initiative was a significant challenge for us, but we are truly grateful that the guests in Los Angeles enjoyed our dishes and welcomed us warmly.

We hope that our efforts will help raise greater awareness of Japan’s traditional food culture in the United States. We also sincerely wish that this experience will inspire more people to visit Japan—especially Wakayama—in the future.
